All Hallows Eve

Friday and Saturday, October 23 & 24

View this EventYou won't want to miss two of the scariest nights of the year during All Hallows Eve, a unique 19th century celebration based on an ancient end-of-the-harvest tradition when it was believed that ghosts roamed the earth freely and the everyday world and the otherworld were open to each other. During Naper Settlement's All Hallows Eve, ghosts, goblins and other creatures freely roam the 12-acre grounds bringing the darker side of the 19th century to life.

Each year, Naper Settlement's "Scream Team," puts their collective heads together to draw upon the scariest literature and characters of the 19th century to capture the essence of another time and place. Look out, because you might run into some notorious personages such as Jack the Ripper, Lizzie Borden, the Headless Horseman and Dr. Frankenstein. Gather around the campfire to warm your chilled bones after you take a walk in the cemetery and beware of the curse of the Mummy's Tomb!

A night of haunting creatures and adventures await you...

Rated PG-Creepy - Recommended for youth and adults who like a scare. We do not recommend this event to children under 8 or to those who might scare easily.

6:30-10 p.m. both days. $9 per person

$1 off advance ticket sales are available at Naper Settlement, Anderson's Bookshop, Canterbury Shoppe, Country Curtains and Oswald's Pharmacy.
