Learning Adventures for Schools!
School Programs and Tours 2007-2008
Naper Settlement's unique school programs
give students a lesson in Northern Illinois heritage they can't
get out of any textbook, because here in our village, history
lessons come alive -- with sights and sounds at every turn
recreating the 19th century.
An adventure through our 13 acres takes students from 1831 -- the time of our area's earliest settlers -- to 1900 and the opulence of the Victorian era. Costumed villagers welcome them into historic homes, working businesses, a fort, schoolhouse and chapel; and the Martin Mitchell House, the grand Victorian home original to our site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
For information or to make reservations call our Education Department at 630.420.4161 or e-mail us at grouptours@naperville.il.us
